Breaking Down The 2021 Golden State Warriors

The 2021 NBA season is in full swing. Teams have played at least twenty games in this COVID-19 riddled season. The Golden State Warriors have a record of 11–9 and currently sit 8th in the Western Conference playoff standings.

Twenty games completed is when I like to start making a healthy assumption of what this team is going to be like going forward.
One thing I can say is that this team is consistently inconsistent.
Consistently inconsistent is how I would describe a team in the back end of the playoff seedlings.

Like every NBA team, they have good games, and they have bad games. This team has taken care of the teams they are supposed to beat, the lower level teams, they have upset the top tier teams, but they have also lost back-breaking games to teams they should beat.

So far, with twenty games down, this has been a roller-coaster season for the Golden State Warriors. With twenty games down, 50 games to go, waiting for the 2nd half of the schedule to be released, we don’t know where they will finish out when all the dust settles.

We don’t know if this team is a bottom end playoff team, a middle of the road playoff team, or a top tier playoff team. We know that when all their players, sans Klay Thompson, are healthy, active, engaged, and available that they are a dangerous team on both ends of the floor.

It’s going to be intriguing to see how this team gels together down the stretch. There is no doubt that if they play as a team they can make a run to the playoffs. If they play to their potential then they can make maybe a semi-deep run in the playoffs too.

Like star Golden State Warrior Forward Andrew Wiggins said, “We’re a deep team. If we stay active, play the way we know we can play, we can beat anyone in this league.”
